The download file includes sample financial statement format workbooks (Excel files) and row name assignments for some of the QuickBooks sample companies. You should be able to produce presentation quality statements for these ample companies without any changes or modifications.

You can also test the system against any other QuickBooks company at the dates noted above but after transferring the data to Excel, you will need to assign each account in the Trial Balance sheet a "row name" which matches a row name in one of the financial format sheets. Row name assignments are saved in the Reporter and have to be entered only once per company. You can open the sample workbook in Excel and save it under a different name before transferring data to it using the reporter so that you can have customized workbooks for specific companies.

NOTE TO UP-GRADERS: If you upgrade, you can transfer the current Row Name Assignments to the new version as follows

1. Open the old version and click View>Saved Row Name Assignments and click the "Export Name Assignments" button at the bottom of the screen.

2. Copy the  ExportedNameAssigments.xls file from the old version folder to the new version.

3. Open the new version and click View>Saved Row Name Assignments and click the "Import Name Assignments" button at the bottom of the screen.
